Most visitors to Nepal need a visa to enter the country so please read the information below and if you need any advice then contact one of the team who will be happy to help you.
Volunteer fees play a big part of funding projects because many of them do not have the necessary funding required to run on a daily basis. And even though they welcome your input, help & expertise they don’t have the money to feed and provide you with lodgings so please look on these fees as being what you would pay if you were on holiday. The good thing because we only have staff in Nepal we keep the fees as low as possible as well as promising that all of the fees are used in Nepal where it’s needed.
Each project fees are different because of the geographical location, the type of project and what support they need. We at NWN show transparency by explaining to you how much of your funds is spent on admin, travel and what is given to the so please ask for details for the project you are volunteering for.

We will need to know what project you are interested in (see the project no on the individual pages) and quote these on your application. Then if you are happy to proceed with the application please provide our team with your flight no and time of arrival. Note please can you pay the volunteer fees on arrival in Kathmandu at the guest house. This must be done before you move to the project because as a volunteer organisation we have to settle your bills. So please see the breakdown of where you fees are used.
